Hi from dorset. My first visit
Enjoyed
I really do enjoy the Coffee Break Club. There’s such a great diversity of lessons and a very useful filter to find exactly what you need at the moment. Also the community is nice and I really like all the teachers a lot! They even answer very quickly and super friendly on any question I wrote into the comments of a class. Great program!👌🏻☺️

As a resident of New Orleans, I must say that we do not throw Moon Pies and Hot Dogs at Mardi Gras. They DO, however, throw Moon Pies at the Mardi Gras in Mobile, Alabama.

What if I say: " I miss you, this house, and this city? How would you translate this in general?
Ciao, here are the translations into Italian: - I miss you: mi manchi. - I miss this house: mi manca questa casa. - I miss this city: mi manca questa città. In the first sentence, ‘manchi’ is used as this literally means ‘you are missing to me’. In the other two instead the literal meaning is ‘it is missing to me’. The verb mancare can be a bit tricky at first, so don’t worry. If you are familiar with the verb piacere, you can apply the same logic to mancare as they work in the same way!
Ottima spiegazione, grazie!
The title is awesome... learn as you fo with no pressure. Thanks Marc.
So nice to see you all! Can’t wait! 👌🏻
Haha dont stop
J’ai hâte du deuxième saison!

I have recently watched some videos about ordering coffee and food in restaurants from Spain. In all of them, they say the best thing to say is “me pone” and advise against using me gustaría as this suggests it’s not an order.
Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. That's correct, we tend to use the imperative as in "me pone" in Spain when we are at a café or restaurant. However, that can sound impolite in other countries or other situations, so it's important to keep that in mind, which is why we have included it too. For instance, we won't use the imperative at a friends/acquaintance's house or at a café or restaurant in Latin America. Hope this helps y gracias por la pregunta!
@@coffeebreaklanguages you said “we tend to use the imperative as in “me pone” in Spain. “ I don’t think me pone is the imperative
Hi there, thank you for your message. You are right and we apologise for the confusion! What we meant is using "me pone", which is a statement, as a mild command. There're further examples of this on daily conversations, like: me dices luego (tell me later), más tarde hablamos (let's speak later), te veo después (I'll see you after). All of these are statements using the present indicative but stating what may happen later. Sorry again for the confusion and thank you for the comment! 😊
Mi piace molto! Grazie
Grazie. This is the most straightforward explanation.
